Tochigi-ken Oyama city
When it comes to Misaki in Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, you must definitely mention tuna. “Misaki Japan’s longest roll sushi festival” began with the town’s intention to make Japan’s longest roll. This year is the 10th year since the beginning. There are about 1,200 people involved in making big-eyed tuna rice rolls weighing more than 80kg and over 200kg of rice, reaching 555 meters in length, and setting a new record compared to last year. This rice roll has non-standard lengths. Composed of 5 right-angled curves and 2 U-turns. This year, it seems to have tried increasing in length, challenging to 560 meters. And besides, a “Downtown walk/ Location tour” will also be held.
To sign up for rolls, from 11 o’clock that day, there is also a time slot for whoever comes first is served first near the Misaki Port bus stop.
