Saga-ken 鳥栖市
Roadside Station Yamato is located on the banks of the pristine Kase River flowing from Mt. Sefuri to the Saga Plain, in a scenic location where you can take in the view of the mountains. The mobile campsite adjacent to this roadside station building is now rapidly increasing in popularity, especially for families. It can be quite busy on the weekends.
Mobile campsite where you can park your car, equipped with a power supply
One of the reasons is its great access. The mobile campsite is only 5 minutes by car from the Saga Yamato Interchange on the Nagasaki Expressway. It takes about 20 minutes by car from downtown Saga and about 60 minutes by car from downtown Fukuoka, but you can still appreciate the rich outdoors on your own camping trip. Moreover, because it is a roadside station, the outdoor restrooms are available 24 hours a day, so there is no need to worry about charging your devices (fees may apply). There are also hot springs and sightseeing spots nearby. We have an environment ideally suited for beginners, safe for groups of women, and perfect for solo campers.
Soyokazekan, a product shop offering a wide variety of fresh local vegetables and fruits, is a convenient location for your barbecue needs. If you make a reservation up to 3 days in advance, you can also reserve a barbecue meal set (starting from 2000 yen) that includes meat and seafood. There are outdoor cooking shelters on site, so feel free to use one for your barbecue! We sell charcoal for barbecue grills, so there’s no need to worry about running out. However, we do not rent tents, tarps, tables or kitchen utensils, so please be sure to bring your own.
For camping and barbecues: all the ingredients you need only at Roadside Station Yamato!
In addition, fishing is a unique pleasure here! A fishing license is included in the camp fee, so you can enjoy fishing in the clear and pristine Kase River. You need to bring your own fishing rods and bait, but we regularly release Yamame trout and Japanese dace. The riverside is shallow so that even families and children new to fishing can fish safely, but it is best to come prepared with some non-slip shoes.
Recently, many people are looking to take part in activities away from the crowds, so many people come camping especially on the weekends. Since the campsite can only be booked in advance, we recommend you make your reservation early. There are notably many more women and solo campers due to the recent trend in camping. The mobile campsite at Roadside Station Yamato is highly ranked for its easy access, convenient full-service facilities, the availability of fresh ingredients, and the fact that it can be used even for a day trip.
A terrace for relaxing and viewing the clear stream
At the product shop Soyokazekan, fresh vegetables and fruits are delivered from nearby producers and neatly displayed every morning. Bento boxes, side dishes, a bakery featuring hand-made breads using local vegetable purees, original soft serve ice cream made with special dried persimmons, and much more are also available, making Soyokazekan the perfect place not only for camping but also for a break away from the road. Create some fun family memories with us!
