What is “KADODE OOIGAWA” produced by the Tokonatsu Infantry Corps?

KADODE OOIGAWA is an experiential food park produced by the cooperation of KADODE OOIGAWA Co., Ltd. in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture by the planning and creative team “Tokonatsu Infantry Corps” with aims to disseminate interesting projects from all over the country.

The concept of the facility is a “food park that experiences agricultural and green tea”, where you can explore, propagate and imagine the attractions of the local tourism industry as well as agricultural products industries such as green tea and Ooigawa specialties. It was expected to be a new attraction of the town, it was opened as a collaborative project between the four parties such as Shimada City and Ooigawa Agricultural Cooperative.

“Onavi” and “Kadode Station” will also be open at the same time!

With the introduction of KADODE OOIGAWA, “Oinavi” and “Kadode Station” were also decided to open at the same time. “Oinavi” is a tourist information center that serves as a specialty and “Kadode Station” is a new unmanned station, first built in 35 years and the closest station to the facilities.

What can you do at KADODE OOIGAWA?

KADODE OOIGAWA is the largest agricultural market in the prefecture and also collects agricultural products from the Ooigawa basin. It was decided to be the basis of the experience and play space corner, in addition to cafes and restaurants and venues selling fresh produce.

The 150-seat large restaurant allows you to enjoy a meal while watching the newly built Kakode Station. If you find an item that you like, you can buy the same item at the market and take it home.

There is also a children’s park, which combines green tea and agricultural products with art, and also an experience corner that will give you a sense of belonging to agriculture. It can be said that this is not only a place to eat and shop but also a place used to cultivate the acumen of the children.
