It’s the 40th anniversary of the popular character from Switzerland, PINGU. Starting from Wednesday, 12 August 2020, the PINGU Penguin Family Exhibition will be held at the Event Square on the 8th floor of The Ginza Matsuya!

In this exhibition, in addition to the information exhibition of the original author Otmar Gutmann, about 400 pieces of valuable materials produced by Pingu will also be displayed, such as real clay dolls, perspective paintings, films, original paintings, and painting split lenses first published in Japan. Based on the interview record of the only Japanese animator who was active in Pingu studio at that time, Mr. Katto Masashi first narrated the little story of Pingu of Penguin Family, and its information was made public for the first time!

Also, the 3D animation Pingu in the city, which was produced in Japan in 2017, is full of the content of the new “Penguin Family” world that parents and children are excited about, such as the original image of the event and the experiential AR amusement facilities using CG. Also, the original “Pingu” products limited by the exhibition and the surrounding stores of the leading products that other stores can’t buy will show up!
